4th day-long jazz extravaganza
JazzFest Falmouth. We heartily

inaugural Jazz Festival
in beautiful seaside Falmouth, Cape Cod:

featuring our own Falmouth resident Stan Vincent; the
Kate McGarry Trio
- Cape Cod born and raised - pure,
gorgeous vocals that tingle your sensations...
The Pat Ryan Group
- led by our own Cape Cod
jazz guitarist, Pat Ryan,
who we thankfully credit for
selecting and booking this world-class lineup of performers
- which pleased jazz aficionados of all kinds. One of Pat's
missions is to bring musical inspiration to our youth.
The Marcus Monteiro 4 (MM4)
- on New Bedford, MA's The Whaling City Sound label,
defies definition and appeals to fans of jazz, funk, rock,
fusion, blues, and dance.
Speaking of up-and-coming Jazz
performers, our show was opened by the
Falmouth High School Jazz Band
and the Falmouth Academy Jazz
Band - we look forward to
hearing great things from these musicians in the future!
JazzFest Falmouth 2008 was
honored to have Boston radio personality
Ron Della Chiesa
and NPR & WGBH's own Naomi
Arenberg announce and enlighten
our attendees about the performers. Thanks also to Falmouth
resident Bill Brackett
for his wonderful opening and closing announcements for
JazzFest Falmouth.

at JazzFest Falmouth 2008!
What:
JazzFest Falmouth is a weekend celebration of jazz in
Falmouth, on Cape Cod, featuring The Dizzy Gillespie Alumni
All-Stars, vocal & bass sensation Esperanza Spalding, The
New Black Eagle Jazz Band and several other national, regional and local groups.
See Musicians page. The jazz styles span from improv to funk. From traditional New
Orleans to contemporary. From fusion to Big Band and
more...something for everyone!
When:
Saturday, October 4th, from Noon to 10 PM.
Where:
Falmouth, Cape Cod MA. Various Friday night offerings on Main Street and Saturday
outdoors in Marina Park overlooking beautiful Falmouth Harbor.
Join us under the big tent, bring your lawn chairs and dress
appropriately for this day-long October event. Priority Table
seating is also available.

A wide variety of cuisines provided by local restaurateurs; beer, wine and soft
drinks will be available along with exhibits by local artists.
Saturday is a ticketed event, with lawn seating sold in
advance for $25 by clicking here and $35 at the door.
Table seating tickets are available in advance and at the gate.
Wristbands will allow ticket holders to come and go thru the day's
events.

• Local arts and crafts people have been invited to sell their
wares in a large tent.
• We'll have a food court exhibiting the talent of local chefs
cooking up a wide variety of tasty treats. Beer, wine and soft drinks
will also be available.
