Clinics and workshops will be held for students of all ages.
The performing groups will be invited to contribute to this endeavor. Nothing can be more exciting for a student than to learn from a true master. If there is a gap in the programming, local musicians/teachers will be asked to participate.

About the “Jazz” DVD Series:
The story, sound, and soul of a nation come together in the most
American of art forms: JAZZ. Ken Burns, who riveted the nation
with The Civil War and Baseball, celebrates the music's soaring
achievements, from their origins in blues and ragtime through
swing, bebop, and fusion.
Six years in the making, this "soundbreaking" series blends 75
interviews, more than 500 pieces of music, 2,400 still
photographs, and over 2,000 rare and archival film clips to
illuminate the lives and times of jazz's extraordinary
personalities. The 10-part musical journey puts in the spotlight
many of America's most original and creative figures, including
Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, Bix Beiderbecke, Duke
Ellington, Benny Goodman, Billie Holiday, Charlie Parker, and
Miles Davis.
With JAZZ, you'll never see — or hear — America the same way
again.
This is a great opportunity to learn more about “Jazz” – one of
America’s most enjoyed art forms!
